W. Wade Robey, Ph.D.
Dr. Robey graduated from Auburn University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Agricultural Sciences in 1983 and a Master of Science degree in Avian Physiology in 1984. He received his Ph.D. in Animal Nutrition from Virginia Tech in 1988 and joined Monsanto’s feed additives division. Monsanto divested the business in 1991, and Dr. Robey remained with the new venture, Novus International, becoming Director, Nutrition Research. Between 2000-2006, Dr. Robey served as Director of Research and Operations for Cargill, Inc., also working with Cargill Ventures and helping establish Intellectual Asset Management. He joined Syngenta in 2006 as Global Business Director and Director of Strategic Partnerships, and Novozymes in 2010 as Head of Marketing, Americas. Between 2011- 2016, Dr. Robey served as Senior Vice President & Chief Technology Officer for POET, leading POET’s research and pilot plant facilities and technology licensing. During this period, POET and DSM formed a joint venture and Dr. Robey served on its Managing Board. In late 2016, he joined Raven Industries as Head, Product Management & Strategic Business Development and Director of Engineering and later as Executive Director, Autonomy & General Manager- DOT Technology Corp. Dr. Robey joined Oil-Dri Corporation of America in 2021 as Vice President, Marketing and Product Development for Amlan International. In May of 2022, he was promoted to Vice President of Agriculture & Amlan Marketing, and in December of 2022, Dr. Robey was named President of Amlan International while maintaining his role as Vice President of Agriculture for Oil-Dri Corporation of America.
